Citrullus lanatus
Adaptable watermelon with large, juicy fruits.
This variety originally comes from Iraq and came to Europe via the French collector Aziz Nail. The elongated fruits with a light green skin have bright red flesh with a very good taste. One plant can produce up to four 8-10 kg fruits in sunny years. But even in cooler years, the then smaller fruits ripen. For us one of the best watermelons.
